Patrick ‘Andy’ Luster, M.S., is an Associate Professor of Speech at LSC-Kingwood with over 20 years of teaching experience in Texas, Louisiana, and Illinois. He has received accolades for teaching and service from Prairie View A & M University and McNeese State University. Before moving into a more professional role at PVAMU, he coached their award-winning speech and debate team to numerous national finals. He also coached a student to the American Forensics Association, the most prestigious speech and debate organization in the US, finals in two events. Andy has over 30 years of experience in public speaking at the competition, coaching, and educational levels. Andy is currently working to bring new initiatives to LSC-Kingwood in the form of educational podcasting.

Twyla Coy is no stranger to the LSC-Kingwood family. She was program coordinator for the Alternative Teacher Certification Program (ATCP) from 2005-2010 and was adjunct professor of speech from 2011-2016. She was recently hired as a full-time assistant professor of speech.

“I love creating a safe and encouraging classroom environment where students learn from each other, as well as love to learn and appreciate the study of communication,” Coy said. “I truly enjoy engaging students and fostering lifelong learning relationships.”
